Kawhi Leonard will always be the guy who spear\u002Dheaded that Raptors championship run in 2019 and will never be forgotten in this city.
VanVleet pointed out that the majority of the technical fouls he has been called for this year have been in games officiated by Taylor. He suggested that when you see that, it starts to become personal.
As much as this was about a tech Taylor hit him with in the third quarter that VanVleet felt was unwarranted and changed the direction of the game, it was about much more than that for the Raptors point guard, who feels officials are trying too hard to become the story of the game rather than the players who the fans are paying to see.
VanVleet was calm and measured throughout his post-game session and readily admitted he was talking about only a select few officials he feels behave this way. But it’s been tough watching him since he made the decision to be closer to home in Los Angeles and forego another potential run or two with Toronto.Article contentWednesday night was his sixth game against many of his former championship teammates and for the sixth consecutive time Leonard put the L in loss for Toronto.
