The Toronto Raptors snapped a five-game losing streak with a hard-fought 104-101 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Monday night at Scotiabank Arena. Ochai Agbaji emerged as a key player for Toronto, scoring two crucial baskets in the fourth quarter to clinch the win. With 93 seconds left on the clock, Agbaji gave the Raptors a one-point lead, and then sealed the victory with a powerful dunk just 39.8 seconds before the final buzzer.
Scottie Barnes led the Raptors with 23 points, while Jakob Poeltl contributed 13 points and a remarkable 13 assists. The Raptors' starting guard, Immanuel Quickley, was absent from the game due to left hip soreness. Meanwhile, the Warriors' forward Draymond Green missed the game because of illness. Jamal Shead provided a valuable spark off the bench for Toronto in the first quarter, sinking back-to-back three-pointers. The Raptors took a narrow lead after the first quarter (28-26) and maintained a slight advantage at halftime (52-50). However, the Warriors rallied in the third quarter, with Lindy Waters III hitting consecutive three-pointers to give Golden State an 86-77 lead. Chris Boucher, hailing from Montreal, kept the Raptors in the game by responding with two of his own three-pointers. Boucher finished the night with 18 points and seven rebounds. Andrew Wiggins, a Canadian native who grew up just north of Toronto, received enthusiastic cheers from the crowd of 19,615 at Scotiabank Arena. It was his first appearance at the arena since 2018. Toronto's RJ Barrett faced early foul trouble, limiting his playing time in the first half. Despite the setback, he managed to contribute 15 points over 26 minutes. In a crucial moment late in the fourth quarter, with the Warriors pressing to regain the lead, Boucher secured a rebound, ensuring Toronto's one-point advantage remained intact
