The Raptors are leading the way in raising awareness for racial and social justice. The hope now is that it continues once games start. (by loung_s)
“It’s super intentional for endless reasons, but I think we understand our position, we understand the impact that we can have,” Raptors general manager Bobby Webster said on Tim and Sid Friday about his team trying to make a statement about racial justice.
And by the sounds of things, the Raptors are just getting started in this pre-games lead-up phase we’re still in. There should be expectation that the Raptors will continue to get this message out, even there’s actual basketball to discuss. So just because basketball games will begin to be played doesn’t mean the ongoing conversation will just suddenly stop, as long as the Raptors are concerned. They won’t allow it to happen.
