Not long before Game 5 of the Metropolitan Division Final between the New York Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes , it was reported that centerChytil returned to game action after initially being ruled out for the season with concussion-related issues in Game 3 of the series last Thursday. However, Chytil missed Game 4 due to an illness. Now, it is being said that the 24-year-old forward is dealing with soreness, leading to his absence on Monday night.
Chytil played 12:02 in the Rangers’ 3-2 overtime win in Game 3, registering a shot on goal in 17 shifts. It was his first game in over six months.
