In a letter posted to parents on the board’s website, Rainbow says OPSEU, which represents its educational assistants, says its members will be back at work on Monday

Rainbow District School Board said today in a letter to parents that it expects to resume in-person classes as of Monday.

Unlike the other three local boards, educational assistants with the Rainbow Board are represented by OPSEU. With OPSEU walking out, Rainbow said it had no choice but to close schools on Nov. 4 because there it lacked the staff to operate. “Our Educational Assistants, represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union , are engaged in their day of protest today and, at this time, they have indicated to us that they will be back in the classroom as of Monday.”
