Rail service delayed to and from New York due to police activity at NJ Transit station

Trains in and out of New York are subject to two-hour delays due to police activity at Secaucus Junction.

NJ Transit has resumed rail service in and out of New York after earlier incident near Secaucus Junction Station, officials said. In an alert to customers shortly before 5:30 p.m., the agency originally said service was suspended due to an “Amtrak pedestrian strike” that occurred near the station. At about 6 p.m., the alert about the pedestrian strike was removed from the transit system’s website and an update stated that service resumed, but was subject to two-hour delays due to police activity at the station.
