Alkhalil has been on the run since escaping custody in British Columbia last summer
A man convicted of organizing gangland murders at cafés on College Street and in downtown Vancouver remains Canada’s most wanted fugitive, with a $250,000 reward for information leading to his capture.
Alkhalil, 35, is considered a leader of the Wolfpack Alliance crime group, and has been on the run since escaping custody in British Columbia last summer. Alkhalil was aided in his July escape by two men in a white van who posed as contractors, the RCMP said.Before his escape from custody last summer, Alkhalil was serving a life term for ordering the murder of Johnny Raposo of Toronto at the Sicilian Sidewalk Café on College Street in 2012 in a dispute over cocaine importing.
