One team was looking to win it all for the first time.For the first time in team history, the Quinnipiac University Bobcats have won the NCAA’s men’s national title after beating the Minnesota Golden Gophers 3-2 in a comeback overtime victory.
The score held for another 19 minutes. Early in the second, Jaxon Nelson scored after Brock Faber’s shot went off the backboards and onto Nelson’s stick in front. Nelson sent it past Yaniv Perets, making it 2-0 and putting the Bobcats on their heels.
