While other members of the royal family will likely take to social media to celebrate the queen's birthday, no other public celebrations will be taking place. According to,"The [gun] salute usually takes place at Hyde Park and the Tower of London... A Buckingham Palace official confirmed that the monarch had decided it would not be appropriate at this time."
