Quebec-based electric-vehicle charging company Flo plans to build a cross-country fast-charging network with $220 million in backing from the Canada Infrastructure Bank
.
The CIB will provide Flo with a $220 million loan to help the Quebec City-based company build out the charging network over the next four years. The total cost of the project was not immediately available. The fast-chargers, which will be built, owned and operated by Flo, will be capable of restoring an 80 per cent battery charge to most EVs within 15 minutes. The majority of the stations will rely on the company’s newly launched Flo Ultra, a 320 kW fast-charger with two charging ports.
