RENOUS, N.B. — Two Quebec men, ages 25 and 29, have been arrested and charged with drug trafficking after officers intercepted a drone carrying narcotics to the Atlantic Institute in Renous, N.B.

Officers with the New Brunswick Integrated Enforcement Unit first caught wind of the incident in February 2024 after an unmanned drone was spotted trafficking contraband into the institute. On May 3, RCMP arrested two Montreal area men and charged both with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

During the arrest, officers seized a quantity of fentanyl, cocaine, shatter, hashish, cannabis, tobacco, cell phones, SIM cards, cell phone chargers, lighters, rolling papers, along with an unmanned aerial vehicle with a controller.
