After a strong finish to the 2023-24 regular season at the turnstiles, the Charlottetown Islanders are looking to build on that momentum.
“We are looking to build off the second half,” said Islanders director of marketing and communications Cody Cudmore. “If you look at the stars that are developing for us, they are very young and I think it's going to be an exciting team, especially this year.”“We don’t control the power play, but we can really control the atmosphere in the rink,” Cudmore. “I think we did achieve that and are looking forward to continuing that in the next year as well.
“Quickly looking at it, we average five or six games a month at home and last year, there was a month, January or February, we had eight or nine ,” said Cudmore. The Islanders changed the start time for Friday games from 7:30 to 7 p.m. after Christmas last season while Sunday games started at 4 p.m.
