Beers & Burgers: Harvey's To Go | SaltWire #harveys #burger #beer #foodbloggerThe Eagles kept things rolling at home in round two of their Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League playoff run, led by a 26-save shutout effort from goaltender Nicolas Ruccia en route to a 1-0 victory over the Chicoutimi Saguenéens on Saturday night.Ruccia, meanwhile, hasn’t allowed a goal in either of the two games at Centre 200.

The game began with several shots in the first few minutes, paving the way for the game’s first and only goal at the tail end of the opening period. That came courtesy of Cam Squires, who converted on a highlight-reel toe-drag play, wristing the puck over the blocker of Saguenéens stopper Rémi Delafontaine. He stopped 27 pucks in the losing effort.

However, the Saguenéens kept the effort going with Christophe Berthelot almost scoring on a shorthanded breakaway. But despite two late Eagles penalties and an attack with the net pulled, Ruccia and the Eagles again kept Chicoutimi off the scoreboard.
