Chinese state media claims Peng Shuai recently shared images of herself on a social media app:
WeChat is a popular Chinese mobile app that is a blend of social media and a messenger.showed a screenshot of Peng’s purported WeChat account that read “today” in Chinese — though it is unclear when the photos were uploaded and if the account belonged to Peng.three photos of Peng, two of which show her with a black cat sitting in front of a storage cabinet decorated with stuffed animals.
Twitter users instantly raised questions about “Peng’s friend,” who shared the photos and used a Chinese flag as a profile picture, as well as the authenticity of the WeChat account purported to be Peng’s, which appeared to have the username “Peng Shuai 2” in Chinese.
