Pump.fun Ranks Second in Crypto Revenue With $322 Million in 2026
Pump.Fun, Coingecko, Hyperliquid

Pump.fun generated $322 million in revenue in 2026, ranking second behind Hyperliquid, according to CoinGecko. The PUMP token shows bullish momentum with key technical levels.

Pump.fun, the memecoin launchpad, has been ranked as the second highest revenue-generating crypto project in 2026 so far, according to a recent report by CoinGecko. The platform brought in $322 million, trailing only Hyperliquid, which recorded $429 million. Together, these two projects accounted for 22.10% of the $3.40 billion in total revenue tracked across the crypto sector this year.

Pump.fun Revenue Driven by Token Fees

According to the CoinGecko report, Pump.fun's revenue comes almost entirely from token creation and trading fees on its platform. The launchpad allows users to create and trade memecoins, and its fee structure has proven highly lucrative in the current market cycle. This revenue stream has positioned Pump.fun as a major player in the crypto economy, despite its relatively recent emergence.

The $322 million figure places Pump.fun well ahead of many established crypto projects. Hyperliquid, a decentralized perpetual exchange, leads the list with $429 million. The combined dominance of these two platforms highlights the growing importance of decentralized finance (DeFi) and memecoin ecosystems in generating real economic value.

PUMP Token Shows Bullish Price Momentum

The native PUMP token has exhibited strong bullish momentum in recent weeks. Since early July, the altcoin has been in an uptrend, with the 20-day and 50-day moving averages (MA) confirming this positive trajectory. The token recently tested its 50-day MA at $0.00384 and rebounded, signaling continued buyer interest at that level.

A pullback from the local high of $0.0054 to $0.0034 occurred, but PUMP has seen a bullish reaction over the past ten days. The token's price action has comfortably breached the $0.00225 swing high from May, reaching levels not seen since October 2025. This move underscores the strength of the current uptrend on the daily timeframe.

Despite the price gains, the Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) indicator remains in negative territory, reading -0.13 as of writing. This suggests that intraday volatility is high and buying pressure has not yet translated into steady gains, unlike the rally observed last month. Meanwhile, the On-Balance Volume (OBV) is rising toward its August highs, indicating that volume is supporting the upward move.

Technical Levels and Trading Opportunities

On the 4-hour chart, the latest bullish impulse move last month was used to plot Fibonacci retracement levels. The $0.00325 to $0.00371 zone, known as the golden pocket, was tested and defended two weeks ago. However, bulls could not push past the local range high of $0.00464.

As things stand, swing traders might consider taking profits at the range highs and waiting for a dip back into the golden pocket to buy PUMP. Alternatively, a breakout above the range could present a buying opportunity. The bullish price structures established in recent weeks have been well defended during the recent retracement, suggesting underlying strength.

The broader context of Pump.fun's revenue success and PUMP's price action reflects the dynamic nature of the crypto market in 2026. With $3.40 billion in total revenue tracked, the sector continues to evolve, and platforms like Pump.fun and Hyperliquid are at the forefront of this growth. Investors and analysts will be watching closely to see if these trends persist in the coming months.
