Unions representing federal public servants are encouraging their members to support their peers at the Public Service Alliance of Canada.
While not in a legal strike position, other unions representing federal public servants – including the Canadian Association of Professional Employees and the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada are encouraging their members to support workers in strike position.
Should the picket line not let them cross or they fear for their safety, Fillion said, members should contact their manager or team lead to request an escort into the building or get directions on how to get into the building.Article content “You can choose to picket with them on your own time ,” states the PAFSO website. “You can bring them coffee and/or snacks. There are lots of other ways to show your support. Honk your car horn and wave as you drive by. Sign a petition. Wear buttons or a designated colour tee-shirt. You can also share social media posts or create your own supportive messages on your personal networks.”
