A long-awaited bypass through the North Northamptonshire village of Isham will be open for public consultation beginning this week. North Northamptonshire Council announced the project was "top priority" last month.
The A509 Isham Bypass scheme aims to address existing traffic issues through Isham and tackle the anticipated traffic growth in the coming years. Currently, the main connecting road between Kettering and Wellingborough cuts right through the small village.Residents of Isham have fought for years for the bypass over fears around air quality and traffic in the village.
