Province Reports Five New Deaths to to COVID; Hospitalizations and Overall Case Counts Drop Considerably
Newfoundland and Labrador is reporting five new deaths due to COVID-19 over the last week.Currently, three people are in hospital with nobody in critical care. That’s down from last week when 11 were in hospital with two in critical care.
The number of confirmed cases has also dropped significantly. There have been 152 new cases reported in the last week, down from the 330 reported in the last update. It should be noted that those numbers only represent lab-confirmed cases of those eligible to be tested, and is not necessarily representative of the actual prevalence of COVID in the community.
