The province announced that multiple regions in the province, including Durham, would be reviewed by facilitatorsFormer Housing and Municipal Affairs Minister Steve Clark said that the province will be naming regional facilitators in Durham, Halton, Niagara, Simcoe County, Waterloo and York no later than September 11, 2023.

In a statement on Monday, he said that he will be reviewing the move announced by his predecessor to appoint facilitators to assess regional governments in Durham.
