The Women’s Multicultural Resource & Counselling Centre of Durham is now the site of the province’s Investing in Women’s Futures program.The program provides a range of services and employment supports for women facing social and economic barriers, including those experiencing violence and social isolation.
Associate Minister of Women’s Social and Economic Opportunity Charmaine Williams says it’s also for newcomers to Canada and for women who are looking to become an entrepreneur. The program will assist with housing, mental health, addictions, safety planning, legal issues, systems navigation, and challenges facing newcomers.“The Women’s Multicultural Resource & Counselling Centre of Durham appreciates the financial support from the Office of Women’s Social and Economic Opportunity for the delivery of the Investing in Women’s Futures program,” said Esther Enyolu, Executive Director, Women’s Multicultural Resource & Counselling Centre of Durham.
