Privacy commissioner recuses himself from cyberattack investigation to avoid court delays BenClearyNL nlpoli
Privacy Commissioner Michael Harvey has recused himself from an investigation into the 2021 health care cyberattack.
The province raised concerns there could be an apprehension of bias because of Harvey’s past work in the Department of Health. Harvey rejects those concerns, but stepped aside anyway so the investigation wouldn’t get tied up in court. NTV’s Ben Cleary reports.
