The royal celebrated her engagement in December with a big party at Chiltern Firehouse, although her father was not present for the occasion. Princess Beatrice announced news of her engagement in September 2019, after a year of dating. May is a popular time for royals to get married, with both the Cambridges and Sussexes choosing the month to host their respective nuptials. Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank bucked the trend by marrying in October.
