On Saturday, the Spruce Kings handed the Vees only their third regulation loss and first shutout of the season.
The Prince George Spruce Kings and the Penticton Vees exchanged 3-0 scores over the weekend at Kopar Memorial Arena in Prince George.
Jordan Fairlie earned his third shutout of the season for the Kings, turning away all 29 shots faced, while John Herrington contributed on all three goals, with a goal and two assists. Ty Gagno and Jake Schneider also scored for the Kings. The night before, the Kings held the Vees off the scoreboard for the first two periods but Penticton scored three unanswered goals in the third period for the win.
The Spruce Kings will hit the road for their next game against the West Kelowna Warriors on Friday, before crossing the border to face the Wenatchee Wild on Saturday.
