The shooting guard from College Heights Secondary looks forward to joining the team next fall

College Heights Secondary School basketball player Summer Toor has committed to the UNBC Timberwolves women’s basketball program for the 2025-26 season, the university announced Wednesday.

A two-time City All-Star and three-time City champion, Toor has proven herself as one of the top players in the region, UNBC reports. She averaged 15 points per game and 4.5 three-pointers per game during the 2024 Provincials, showcasing her sharpshooting ability. UNBC Timberwolves head coach Sergey Shchepotkin, who has closely followed Toor’s career, was a key factor in her decision to join the team. “Sergey is a great coach. I’ve watched a lot of his games and really like his coaching style,” said Toor. “He saw my strengths, especially my three-point shooting, speed, and passing, and I’m looking forward to playing under him.”
