The median price for 158 single-family homes sold this year in the Bowl area west of Highway 97 was $449,700
For the first nine months of this year, 924 Prince George properties were sold worth $432 million. That’s down from the first nine months of 2022 when sales of 1,158 properties in the city totalled $536.5 million.In the Hart and northern parts of the city there were 115 single-family homes sold at a median price of $510,000, while in the southwest the average price of the 170 single-family homes sold was $591,000.
At the end of September, there were 708 properties of all types available for purchase through MLS listings in the city. A report issued this week by the BC Northern Real Estate Board shows 3,354 properties worth a combined $1.4 billion were sold in the first nine months of the year, down considerably from last year as of Sept. 30, when 4,210 properties worth $1.7 billion changed hands.
The average price for homes across northern B.C. was about $408,000 in the third quarter, not far from the peak of $422,000 recorded in the second quarter of 2022.
