Prince George RCMP on lookout for suspected tool thief

$1,500 worth of tools stolen from Home Depot.

Prince George RCMP is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a recent theft of tools from a local big box store.

The theft occurred on Monday at the Home Depot at Westgate. Surveillance shows the man loading a Milwaukee Chop Saw and two Dewalt Combo kits into a shopping cart and leaving the store with them. Total value was about $1,500.Anyone who recognizes the suspect or sees the items for sale in town or on online marketplaces is asked to contact Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.

Tips can also be left at Northern B.C. Crime Stoppers, 1-800-222-TIPS or www.northernbccrimestoppers.ca. You do not have to reveal your identity to Crime Stoppers. If you provide information that leads to an arrest or recovery of stolen property, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
