The ban includes fireworks and burn barrels but does not apply to campfires

Beginning at noon on Thursday , the BC Wildfire Service is prohibiting Category 2 and 3 open burning across the Prince George Fire Centre. The ban will remain in force until October 15, or until it is rescinded.

This Order includes the Prince George, Stuart Nechako, Mackenzie, the Peace, and Fort Nelson Forest District. The order does not apply to campfires that are a half-metre high by a half-metre wide or cooking stoves that use gas, propane or briquettes.
