A priest who had performed baptisms has stepped down after learning that he had wrongly used a single, two-letter word instead of the word “I,” invalidating baptisms that he had done over the years.The Rev. Andres Arango had said “We baptize you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” while performing the ritual in the Catholic church he served, The New York Times reported.
Now that the baptisms have been deemed invalid, it could mean that other Catholic rites may not be valid either.posted online “Maybe! Unfortunately, there is no single clear answer.”
