Pre-enrollment began Monday for the San Diego Unified School District’s Universal Transitional Kindergarten (UTK) program, which is being offered for the first time at district elementary and K-8 schools.
SAN DIEGO – Pre-enrollment began Monday for the San Diego Unified School District’s Universal Transitional Kindergarten program.
According to district officials, children must be 4 years old by Sept. 1 in order to qualify for the program. Children who turn 5 years old on or by Sept. 1 will not be entered into UTK since they are considered eligible for kindergarten.
