Power outages, road closures linger in central Pa. after Monday’s storms

Other places with high concentraion of properties without power included the Winfield area of Union County, parts of Juniata County and the Elverson area in Lancaster County.shows a scattering of outages still remaining in a wide swath across southern York County, with nearly 30 affected properties close to the city.

The National Weather Service told PennLive Monday night that York, Lancaster, Fulton and Franklin counties experienced the most damage as winds reached between 60 and 70 mph and up to two inches of rain fell in a short period. The power outages increase further to the east, with more than 18,000 properties still without power near Allentown through PPL as of mid-morning Tuesday. Additional outages are scattered across the eastern and northeastern portions of the state, including dozens in regions near Reading, Stroudsburg and Easton.
