A growing number are thinking of buying an electric vehicle because of it

A majority of Canadians believe that sky-high gasoline prices are here to stay, and a growing number are thinking of buying an electric vehicle because of it, a new poll suggests.

The top two reasons Canadians gave for recent increases “are a tightening world supply because of international events , and petroleum/gas companies who are just hiking pump costs for greater profit-taking ,” the Maru report said.
