SMU’s first spring under new head coach Rhett Lashlee is in the books. What did we learn from the initial glimpse at next year’s Mustangs? It’s time for...
The line in the spring game : Thalen Robinson, Cameron Ervin, Branson Hickman, Thomas, Marcus Bryant. Justin Osborne, a starter at guard the last two seasons, didn’t dress for the spring game. This is a little anticlimactic, but what did we learn from spring in regards to the offensive line? That there’s still a lot to be learned.: A lot.
Were those additions made because SMU wanted to add depth and create competition? Or were they made because SMU wanted to add two starters to an offensive line that shuffled around a lot in spring? We’ll find out that answer in fall camp. I also wouldn’t rule out SMU adding another transfer to the group if the market matches the need.
