A public inquiry into a Post Office IT scandal, which saw sub-postmasters wrongly convicted and sometimes jailed for theft, has begun. Anja_Popp reports.
The IT system known as Horizon was introduced in 1999 and gave incorrect figures leading to convictions for false accounting and theft. The Post Office says it’s doing all it can to address the human cost of what happened but all these years on and many still haven’t received compensation yet.
