86-year-old Port Hope resident Frank Gardner won $59,762.20 on the June 7 draw of LOTTO 6/49 Eighty-six-year-old Frank Gardiner has won smaller prizes before but the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commision says it’s his biggest win to date.
Gardiner told OLG that he had to hand over the ticket to the convenience store clerk to validate it was a real winning ticket. “I think he was more excited than I was,” Gardiner said. “If I had a video of his reaction, we could have sold it to Hollywood!”The winning ticket was purchased at Pioneer on Peter Street in Port Hope.
