SaltWire's Atlantic regional weather forecast for October 27, 2023 | SaltWireST. JOHN'S, N.L. — A rally was held at Confederation Building Friday calling for provincial environment minister Bernard Davis to appoint a public environmental assessment board to review the environmental impacts of the World Energy GH2 Nujio’qonik wind/hydrogen/ammonia project on the Port au Port Peninsula and the Codroy Valley.
The rally was organized by the area’s Environmental Transparency Committee and had the support of local fisher people, indigenous water and land defenders, the FFAW and their supporters. The group is asking to be involved in the assessment and to have access to independent experts to determine the effects large scale project.
