Port Alberni police have already seized almost 1,000 doses of illicit drugs so far this year, as well as hundreds of controlled substances and about $6,500 in cash.
A search of a home by the Port Alberni RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit on March 10 turned up controlled substances and illicit drugs, along with machetes and airsoft guns.
Officers found 10 people in the residence, one of whom had an outstanding warrant for assault causing bodily harm and two counts of failing to appear in court.
