Porsche Taycan Turbo S breaks Nürburgring EV lap record with Germany-only package.
The car used for the record lap wasn't just any Taycan Turbo S. According to Porsche, it was equipped with a new Performance kit, which adds 21-inch RS Spyder-design wheels, ultra-sticky Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, and an update to the car's chassis control system to help it work better with the extra grip.
Weirdly, this package is currently only available in Germany for the 2023 model-year Taycan Turbo S. Available starting later this year, cars with this package will have it retrofitted after initial delivery at Porsche's Zuffenhausen facility. We've reached out to Porsche to find out whether this package will make it to the U.S.
