A show announcement made by Gogglebox couple Dave and Shirley Griffiths has led to thousands replying to their social media post. The couple, who took to Instagram with the message just a day ago, have already had a huge reaction to the post.
The Welsh couple revealed when fans can expect them back on the popular Channel 4 show. The channel is currently airing Celebrity Gogglebox on a Friday night while the usual armchair critics take a break over the summer. Since the usual show wrapped up filming in May, celebs such as Carol Vorderman, Stacey Solomon and Rylan Clark have been entertaining viewers.
Dave and Shirley joined the cast of Gogglebox in 2015, according to Wales Online, adding that they "have quickly become fan favourites". The couple, who hail from Caerphilly, have amassed a large social media following and regularly update Gogglebox viewers on Instagram.In their latest update, Dave and Shirley revealed when they'll be back on screens. The pair shared a snap poolside as they told viewers to enjoy their summer and confirmed they'd be back in September.
"Happy holidays, see you all in September #Gogglebox," the pair captioned the post. The reality television stars were quickly inundated with messages as one fan wrote: "Happy Holidays you lovelies hope your having a well earned holiday. Can’t wait to see you both in September till then cheers." Instagram Another said: "Love the photo guys and miss you both can't wait for September." And a third said: "Absolutely gorgeous picture of you both miss you guys roll on September x x." Among the spring of additional comments, many said they missed the couple on TV, another person added: "You're both looking so well. Have a fab summer, can't wait for next series.
