Police said the man was first seen about 12:30 p.m. on May 17, sitting shirtless on a railway track in view of the school, then again on Wednesday about 2:35 p.m. in the same location

West Shore RCMP are investigating a report of a suspicious man seen at least twice in the 200-block of Helmcken Road near View Royal Elementary School.

Police said the man was first seen about 12:30 p.m. on May 17, sitting shirtless on a railway track in view of the school.A man matching the description from the original sighting was then seen Wednesday about 2:35 p.m. in the same location. He was walking northbound on the E&N Trail.While there have not been any reports of the man approaching people, police would like to speak to him.

He is described as white, in his 20s and about six feet tall with a medium build and dark, shoulder-length hair. He was wearing a cowboy hat and dark shorts at the time of the first sighting.Contact West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 with any information.
