CORNER BROOK, N.L. — Three individuals are facing drug trafficking charges after being pulled over as part of a drug trafficking investigation on Newfoundland's west coast on Oct. 17.
RCMP-RNC Joint Forces Operation , with assistance from Deer Lake RCMP, stopped the vehicle on Sixth Avenue in Deer Lake. Gary Campbell, 50, of Irishtown-Summerside, Stephen Goudie, 44, of Deer Lake and Chloe Young, 22, of Deer Lake were arrested and searched. Inside the vehicle, police found and seized around 28 grams of cocaine, a quantity of cash and other evidence consistent with drug trafficking.Young was additionally charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.As this is Campbell's second arrest by JFO West for drug-related offences since August of 2023, he was held in custody, appeared in court and was then released on conditions.
