Although the weather is expected to start to return to cooler temperatures in the next few days, Ottawa police say it\u0027s time to brush up on good traffic relations between cars, bike and motorcycles.
“The rules of the road apply to all road users, and motorists are urged to exercise more care around vulnerable road users, including pedestrians,” the service said in a release Friday.
Residue is more prevalent on low-traffic roads, but prepare for it to be on all streets, especially in turns. Drivers don’t see motorcyclists at the best of times, let alone when they’re not expecting you. Give yourself plenty of space, pay attention to what other drivers are doing, and make yourself as visible as possible by wearing a bright fluorescent jacket.
