Denver police need the public's help identifying a motorcycle rider who allegedly struck a pedestrian crossing Colfax Avenue last weekend. Police released a photo of the incident which happened on February 25, 2023 at around 2:51 p.m.

Denver police need the public's help identifying a motorcycle rider who allegedly struck a pedestrian crossing Colfax Avenue last weekend.The pedestrian was in a crosswalk at the intersection of West Colfax Avenue and North Broadway Street when the motorcycle rider struck the pedestrian causing serious injuries, police said in a release.

Police ask anyone with information on the hit-and-run crash to contact Metro Denver Crime Stopper online or by calling 720-913-7867. In Colorado, a hit-and-run crash that causes non-serious injuries is punishable by 10 days to a year in jail and/or a fine of $300 up to $1,000. If the person is seriously injured, the driver faces a Class 4 felony punishable by two to six years in prison and/or a fine up to $500,000. If the person is killed in the crash, the driver faces a Class 3 felony with four to 12 years in prison and/or a fine up to $750,000.
