West Shore RCMP arrested a 27-year-old suspect Thursday after a report of an intoxicated man exposing himself and a second report that he allegedly touched a woman in a sexual manner.
The first report about 7:05 p.m. said that a man was exposing himself on Orono Avenue in Langford, but he had gone by the time police arrived.Officers located the suspect in the area of Goldstream Avenue and the Island Highway in Colwood. He was arrested after a brief chase in connection with allegations of sexual assault, indecent exposure and obstructing a police officer, and was scheduled for a Friday court appearance.
Cpl. Nancy Saggar said police are grateful to the multiple witnesses who called police, as their information was critical in locating and arresting the suspect.
