Police looking for suspect in silver Audi who shot at CHP during traffic stop [Breaking]
Law enforcement officers were on the lookout for a silver Audi after the driver shot at a California Highway Patrol officer who was trying to pull over the vehicle, authorities said.
The CHP officer tried to initiate a traffic stop with the car in the area around state Route 76 and Rincon Ranch Road near Rincon around 12:30 p.m. when the driver shot at the officer — and missed — before driving away, said sheriff’s Lt. Nanette McMasters.She did not know the reason the CHP officer tried to pull over the Audi. No other details were immediately available.
