Police say they have located the vehicle that struck a 21-year-old man at a College and Spadina streetcar stop on Sunday. The suspect is still outstanding.
Police say a pedestrian was waiting at a streetcar stop at the intersection of College Street and Spadina Avenue shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday when he was struck by a black SUV heading westbound.The victim was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition and his current condition is not known.Officers who first arrived on the scene located a side view mirror that fell off of the suspect vehicle.
On Sunday, police released video surveillance images of the vehicle, which has been described as a either a 2015 to 2017 Ford Expedition or a 2007 to 2017 Lincoln Navigator. On Monday morning, investigators confirmed that the vehicle had been located but the suspect was still outstanding. The driver has not yet been identified.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
