Police have located a vehicle thought to be involved in a downtown Calgary hit-and-run that left a pedestrian seriously injured on Tuesday afternoon yyc
Fifth Avenue S.E. and Macleod Trail S.E. for reports of a collision around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. They say the victim, a woman in her 20s, was waiting to cross the street at the northwest corner of the intersection when a truck sped through the area, ran a red light and entered struck the woman as she stepped into the crosswalk.
Investigators believe the vehicle was a silver or grey, early 2020s model Jeep Gladiator. They later found the truck in a residential parkade in the 900-block of Centre Avenue N.E. in Bridgeland and are working to determine the driver’s identity.anyone with information about the incident, to contact them at 403-266-1234. Specifically, investigators are looking for dashcam footage from the downtown core and the areas of Edmonton Trail and Memorial Drive from around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
