The body of an adult woman was found along the north side of Evanston Township High School's campus early Tuesday morning.

Evanston police are conducting an investigation into the body of an adult female found at Evanston Township High School early on Tuesday, Sept. 20. The deceased, found on the north side of the campus, is non-high school aged and not a member of the schools faculty according to tweets from the Evanston Police Department.Students are not in any danger and classes were held as planned according to the school’s website.
“We recognize that anytime there is a police investigation on the ETHS campus, it may cause a strong reaction. We are here to support our students and staff. Students may also reach out to their tweets further state that the manner and cause of death are not evident. Medical examiners are in possession of the deceased but no further information will be released until Sept. 21.
