Police in Brampton and Oshawa are investigating separate shootings that occurred early Wednesday morning. In Brampton, two suspects were caught on video firing multiple shots at a home on Senwood Street. No injuries were reported. In Oshawa, over a dozen shots were fired at a housing complex on Mary Street North and Taunton Road. Again, no injuries were reported.
Police say they are investigating after two suspects were caught on video outside a Brampton home where multiple shots were fired early Wednesday morning.
Investigators noted that it is a “targeted style shooting” but added that it is not yet known if that particular residence was targeted. The incident occurred just minutes after an unrelated shooting that saw more than a dozen shots fired at a housing complex in Oshawa overnight, Durham Regional Police said. Police said officers were called to the area of Mary Street North and Taunton Road at around 2:05 a.m. for a report of shots fired.
“The frequency of these incidents is of great concern and require dedicated resources to address. It’s another sober reminder that @RegionofDurham is not immune from gun related crime.” New statistics from the City of Ottawa show there was an increase in households exceeding the new three-item garbage limit as the final phase of the new rules began earlier this month.
