Two dead, 1 critical after found in Lakeview alley
Two people were found dead in a Lakeview alley Thursday morning and a third was taken to a hospital in critical condition, according to Chicago police.
Officers responded to a call of a “person down” in the 800 block of West Belmont Avenue about 6:45 a.m., where the three were found, said Officer Alex Aguas, a police spokesman.Two males were found dead on the scene, according to Aguas, while a 21-year-old woman was taken in critical condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
The deaths are believed to be possible drug overdoses, said Deputy District Chief Curtis Hudson, a spokesperson with the Chicago Fire Department, adding that there was no report of any signs of trauma.
