MONTEREY PARK — After running inside a Walgreens pharmacy in Monterey Park after leading police on a high speed freeway chase that began in Ontario, two grand theft auto suspects managed to escape and are on the loose Thursday.
Monterey Park Police Department officers and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies set up a perimeter around the building but did not see either suspects exit, according to KCAL, which reported the driver is suspected of assaulting a law enforcement officer.
